The Vector 3/2 Blackstix+ represents the next evolutionary step in Futures Fins‘ high-performance fin technology and goes beyond the previous Vector 3/2 with its Alpha construction. Unlike conventional Blackstix fins, the Blackstix+ features a stiffer construction that ensures the Vector 3/2 fins remain fully engaged throughout the entire turn. This increased stiffness and resonance improve drive, grip, and rebound, offering more control and power without compromising the fluid transition from rail to rail. The result is a fin that delivers a precise yet responsive, lively feel, making it ideal for surfers looking to improve their performance in a variety of conditions.
WHAT IS A VECTOR FOIL?
It is a proprietary Futures foil featuring a concave surface on the inside of the front fins, which increases surface area, water displacement, and lift.
WHAT IS A 3/2?
The 3/2 complements the Vector with an additional 3 degrees of rake and 2 degrees of toe angle, introducing a twist to the foil to improve glide angles during sharp turns and provide more lift and stability during maneuvers.
PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES OF THE VECTOR 3/2
The Vector 3/2 is a speed-generating fin that maximizes water lift across multiple gliding surfaces, resulting in lift and reduced drag. The concave surface and twist in the upper half provide unique grip and a unique sense of projection, enabling fluid speed generation in smaller waves and powerful connection and increased speed in larger waves, resulting in faster and improved turns.

BENEFITS OF THE SCIMITAR TIP
Originally developed in 2006, the Scimitar tip is a flattened edge at the rear end of the fin that tightens the turn by shortening the fins profile. This complements the lift and speed design of the 3/2 foil, improves the feel when exiting turns, and simultaneously maximizes the foils performance across the entire fin profile.
