We present the Patrik RACE LA Gen2 sail.
A comprehensive evolution of a sail that has already proven itself to be one of the fastest in the world. The goal was clear: to maintain top speed, power, and acceleration while making the sail feel noticeably lighter and more responsive in the hands. This is the new RACE LA GEN2 (Low Aspect).
Starting with the construction and materials, every panel was carefully analyzed to optimize the balance between weight and durability, with a particular focus on stiffness and feel. The result is a refined material layout and a revised load distribution at the Luff, creating a structure that feels both exceptionally stable and impressively lively on the water.
Updates to the outline, string width, andin particularthe clew position have increased drive and efficiency, thereby improving upwind performance as well as acceleration out of a jibe or when transitioning into the speed run.
The overall result is stronger acceleration, improved upwind performance, and excellent control at higher speedsall combined with easier handling that simplifies jibing and reduces physical effort on the water.
