After a few misses on the waves that could have ended John John’s life, he came to us with this design idea.
– We reverse the normal quad set so that the smaller fins are at the front, for speed – and the bigger fins at the back, for control. This should hold my tail while the G-10 construction still provides enough stability to keep an edge on the line.
– The perceived speed was next level. To put it bluntly, this was for a certain big left, with JJF on her backhand. In terms of forehand testing, reference can be made to 2023 runner-up Eddie. The wave of his life is yet to come, but it will be a big wave.
